TexRail Commuter Rail

The TexRail Corridor project is a regional rail line extending from southwest Fort Worth to the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).  Service is anticipated to start in late 2018. Diesel multiple units (DMUs) will be used for the service. CTG was part of the consultant team that completed the TEXRail PE/EIS.

CTG was responsible for preparing bus operating plans for the project alternatives including the No Build, Baseline/TSM and Build alternatives. Several rail alignment variations were evaluated.  CTG was also responsible for developing an operating and maintenance (O&M) cost spreadsheet model to estimate impacts to FWTA’s annual O&M costs.  Between 2014 and 2017, CTG  continued to assist with FWTA’s annual submittals of FTA New Starts Applications. As part of these submittals, we were responsible for developing three chapters:  Bus Operations Plan, O&M Cost Methodology, and O&M Cost Results.
